Frank Marsico is a jazz musician and composer originally from Philadelphia, where he was in high demand as a percussionist. Now based in Los Angeles, Frank continues to compose and perform for live audiences and on recordings. In addition to a wide range of percussion instruments, he plays vibraphone, marimba, keyboards, and harmonica.
Frank Marsico Being a drummer first helped very much technically speaking since I already was able to hit things with sticks. But musically speaking, it would definitely have been much easier if I had arrived at the vibraphone via the piano.

Tiki Oasis Goes South of the Border
Frankie’s Baja Marimba Mania debuted on the music scene at Tiki Oasis 11. The popular tiki party event occurred on the Pacific Ocean coast in laid-back San Diego, California.
The band is an independent project by vibraphonist Frank Marsico, created specifically for the annual tiki festival’s “South of the Border” theme.
Frank is a master on the vibes, and also plays drums, marimba, keyboards, and harmonica. The Baja Marimba Mania band includes Frank’s daughter Liv, percussionist for The Cold War Kids; Warren Giancaterino, former bassist for Sergio Mendes; and drummer Larry Klein.
Tiki Oasis Review Tiki Oasis is the awesomest Tiki party on the planet! So many cool things to do, so many tasty cocktails to drink, so many hip bands and DJs to entertain you! Just remember to bring your sunglasses because some of those shirts are really, really bright!!!

The group’s exclusive client list includes Oscar-winning actor and director Clint Eastwood, reality television star Kim Kardashian, author Stephen King, Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Carole King, and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Events range from small, intimate garden parties to large-scale events for corporate clients including Chrysler Motors, The Getty Center, Mattel, The Skirball Center, Universal Studios, California Harley Davidson, and Warner Bros. Studios.

Frank Marsico I had to learn in my teens all of the harmony and theory that is required to play jazz vibes which is a lot harder and took a lot longer than learning how to hit things with sticks.
